If you are using an operating system which is different from Windows XP, then you will receive that error. Go to Device Manager and make sure that the drivers for the TV device are installed properly. If you receive a hardware initialization error, it means the drivers for this product are not installed properly. After installing them, the application will work normally.
EasyTV MPEG doesn't work well with Windows Vista. It worked without issues with Windows XP. What can I do?

In order to fix the issue, right-click on the computer icon, select manage and open Device Manager. After that, locate the TV Tuner driver, right-click on its icon and select Uninstall. Next, reboot your computer and use Google to find and download a driver compatible with Windows Vista. Once you download it, right-click on the TV Tuner icon from Device Manager and select Update Driver Software. Use the Browse option to navigate to the installation package, select the driver and install it following the provided instructions.
Note: If you can't find the driver using the Google search engine, you can use a driver identifier from Software Informer database.
